Beautifully shot scenes really illustrated the breathtaking macrocosm of Japanese culture. Refreshing to have Asian lead actors and the origin story of one of the most recognisable G.I. Joe members fleshed out in a picturesque action flick. For me it brought back nostalgia of my teenage years of binging on action flics. Don't put to much thought into the plot- the film is a spin off for a boys comic book series and action figurine set. Viewer be warned the dynamic action scenes are quite shaky which is irritating but it's done for a reason: CGI rendering and making stunt work easier and safer.
