I was surprised to see so many negative mainstream reviews. I loved it. Farrell is of course brilliant as usual. Visually it's stunning. And it has an Eastern spiritual component that removes it from the expected tropes of the losing gambler genre.

Worth watching once. Well crafted and acted with some truly funny black humor sprinkled throughout. Maybe a little longer than it needed to be. I was also expecting a little more depth in the final explanation of events.

Did not expect this. Wouldn't have even been aware of it if not for someone on X posting about. Amazingly personal, authentic collection of great tracks built around a single theme and stripped of any modern flourishes. Likely the country album of the year.
