Me and my girlfriend thought that there was a lot of imagery left unexplained leaving us with several questions* SPOILER * One main issue we saw was that the two adult women’s roles were never represented correctly, one having flash back of memories that weren’t her own, and the other woman that never explained how being switched to the shadow made her feel. Also, we found it extremely remedial that although the main family found themselves in a lot of danger, nothing ever really came out of it. That drove us to be slightly unattached to the film.
