its not entirely unpleasant to watch, outside of the gore parts... but really it all felt very pointless and redundant at the end. a lot of ways they could have gone with it after the big 'oh snap' moment but it ended up being kinda lame and useless.
the based on a true story aspect for me personally was just a gimmick to hype up a film that in the long run really had nothing to do with the real life murders.
*spoilers*
psycho fish shop owner cons people out of money then he and his psycho girlfriend dismember them, burn the bones, and dump the meat in a river. the whole time blackmailing a lesser shop owner into being an accomplice by threatening to kill him, his wife, and his daughter. it drives the main character crazy and he ends up killing them. then himself, in front of his daughter, to teach her a lesson.
big facepalm moment at the end. dont waste your time unless youre just really into bizarre films, gore films, or the director.
