I believe, the writer Kanika Dhillon MUST have read Roald Dahl’s famous story ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ and borrowed the entire idea of hatching the murder plot and executing it from there. Rani is not Mary Maloney, though that five-minute discovery of how she acted like a clone of Mary Maloney in the murder plot would certainly not escape the attention of avid readers of English Literature. So, who gets murdered eventually? I am sure it is not that difficult to surmise after all. All that we can sing to ourselves is “Shikaar khud yahaan shikaar ho gaya Yeh kya sitam hua, yeh kya gajab hua Na jaanoon main, na jaane who…”
