The story line spoke it's truth. Zoe Renee and Simone Missick mother-daughter relationship was so real. The car mother and daughter disagreement was real. Also Dorian Missick played and essential role in supporting his daughter in extension Jade (Summer's mother). Dorian gave support to Jade at her weakest moment where she felt her daughter didn't need her. Both loved their daughter, but at her times of need she knew she had her dad to talk to. The moral of this story for me, is that the parents loved their daughter and both showed up when she needed them the most.
