Prepare for every trope of the genre but without the self aware metacommentary style that has been used the past couple decades or them being used for comedic effect. At first it is quite good with the protagonist being unusually smart. The issue is it sets your expectations high and about 5 minutes later brings the character down to the level of what you would expect from the sort of movie. It doesn't get better from there, with the smart protagonist making worse decisions as it goes on. I do agree that the actors did well, the issue was the plot and thought process of those in charge.
