I personally strongly disliked this movie... it was all just action scene after action scene with barely ANY plot except a stupid excuse to have the villain fight different characters... No real overarching plot whatsoever, the environments get barren and ugly at least halfway through the movie, the main villain is just a ball of muscle with absolutely NOTHING more to him than that... A lot of characters have absolutely NO reasoning as to why they are even present. The whole movie was just an excuse to make huge fanservice... which in its own regards worked well, the action scenes are awesome and the animation is polished... but it felt like it was too much of just that... no big emotional moments or build ups of character and story at any point, just: “Now look at this character do this badass action, oh wait nevermind now there’s this badass character doing his badass action”... heck the strawhats didn’t get there worth of screen time AT ALL... Really, if you’re so addicted to fan service that you’d be ready to rate this over Z or Gold it’s a real shame...
