Finally, a film I can "sink my teeth into" and reflect on societal norms. Look past the gore and over objectifying and there's something uniquely special about this film. If you're someone who went "on and on" about how bad the film was, get over yourself because you missed the point.
The story line is an excellent metaphor for how our society deals with agism, sexism, and our desperate grab to hold onto our youth, while fearing death. It also shows the visceral ugliness to how we ALL internally and externally condemn others and ourselves in our bodily form.
Just when you thought the film could have "wrapped up" and ended, it ramps up on a level to which you would not have expected but needed to go in order to complete it's intended message. Yes, it's hard graphic but the director intended it to be that way to get the viewers attention. Don't look away.....see it for what it is.
