Incredibly tedious. Long stretches of nothing happening. Endless expanses of implausible back story. Clunky and super transparent foreshadowing. I just finished an interminable stretch of being told about Camilla’s former life that went on for ages. Don’t tell me about it, make it part of the story! There’s a good book in here somewhere. Wanted to like it but ended up bored and frustrated. I’m 3/4 if the way through and I just don’t care anymore.
