I read this book a while ago, so my memory might be a bit fuzzy. The main character, for me personally, was unlikeable. His reaction (anger, jealousy, frustration) to his friend losing weight was honestly what did it for me. The selfishness displayed by him overall made for a rather unenjoyable reading experience. Despite this, the story does have some good points, as it did go into the viewpoints of what it feels like to live as someone of greater size, and the bullying that they experience, and understandably, how their mindset may be impacted by such bullying. Overall, the main message of the book was made in good spirits, and attempted to give an empowering/inspiring message about your own self-perception, etc. but the main character annoyed me so much that the overall reading experience was unenjoyable.
