I really enjoyed the first 4 seasons of SHETLAND, but am disappointed with this fifth season. Felt like some of the side characters and side plots were more frustrating than intriguing. The lead character Jimmy gets dragged all over the place, especially in trying to cater to some of the knuckleheads, rather than trying to resolve the crimes in the central plot. No wonder he's worn out! While I have appreciated the various side characters and their place in previous seasons, it seemed more of a drain to the episodes this season.
