A supernatural romantic Christmas movie. Found it four years ago and now it is a Christmas.staple. Great acting and a very different, intriguing story. Love it.

If you are an Outlander fan as I am be forewarned. It is quite likely you will be disappointed after your long wait. The first 2/3rds of the book are quite slow. The bear attack was interesting but concerned people who are irrelevant to the overall story. William is not coming off as a well written or very likeable character. Nothing seemed to hang together. The ending was like a cliffhanger tv show ending. But at least with a tv show you usually only have to wait one year for the resolution.

The characters were not even remotely likable until the last 20 min or so. I'll have to read the book again because I loved it and although it has been a long time since I've read it I can't imagine I would have liked it if the characters were remotely as portrayed in this version. Very poor character develop. Costumes pretty good except the men's collars were too high and foppish. I'll take the Gweneth Paltrow version any day despite the costume problems.
