Considering that John Carpenter and Debra Hill meant for the Halloween series to be an anthology series where every movie is different from the first, this movie fits in with the original intent of the series. But because the production company wanted a remake that picks up with the murderous Michael Myers, many don’t like this movie. It’s a great film but is underrated because of the fact that audiences had fell in love with Michael Myers and expected to see him in this movie too.
