In regards to the Black, Brown, Bruised book, my opinion as a STEM/Science teacher in title 1 schools for 16 years in the Memphis, TN area; we need to stop reading books that spread negativity and injustice and read books about the power of positivity and over-coming obstacles. Regardless of race, majority of people have faced some sort of injustice and have battles to overcome.
