I applaud the book discussion this morning regarding boys and porn, however, I think the fact that porn is so easily accessible to kids and teens in general that we can’t forget this negatively impacts our young girls too. They also are growing up in a society where they are hearing and seeing a distorted view of what’s expected from them and what they should accept from others. I’m a psychotherapist that’s been working with children and teens for over 20 years and how boys AND girls approach relationships and sex today has completely changed. There is much less concern for learning about love and intimacy and more emphasis on sexual experimentation that is very commonly not just shared between the two individuals, but acts performed to impress others (friends).
