This was the album that solidified my passion for prog metal. To me, every full-length song on this album feels like its own masterpiece. However, the songs complement each other wonderfully to create a long album that holds my interest from start to finish. This album, in my opinion, is magical.

The first metal album to make me bawl. During part 2 (So Below), when the mourning clean vocals came in, I'm in huge tears. This album is beautiful, melancholic and reflective for a metal album, but still maintains the darkness and heaviness that is expected from the genre. The production is fantastic, with plenty of immense power unleashed from each note, and the contrast of heavy and light combined with the beautiful (and slow) melodies evokes an overwhelming amount of emotion in my opinion. Sure it's INCREDIBLY long and takes a LOT of patience to listen to the whole way through, but it is incredibly rewarding and is not for the faint of heart.

Really wonderful show. One of the best kid's shows I've seen in a very long time. The characters are well-written and developed, the episodes are imaginative and engaging, and the tone feels pure without feeling immature. Hilda is a lovable protagonist among other endearing characters like Johanna (Hilda's mom), her friends Frida and David, Alfur the elf as well as many others. There were even moments that made me feel really emotional (particularly the endings of The Bird Parade and The House In The Woods), which is extremely rare for me in a kid's show. While I can understand how some of the jokes, although usually very cute, can feel a bit silly for some (I found a few to be quite silly), the good qualities still make the show such a wonderful experience. For me, it's a 9.5/10.

As much as I enjoy this movie, I can't help but think that their others are better. However, still a wonderful film full of adventure, beauty and endearing romance. Pazu and Sheeta are an interesting couple because they both help each other develop in their own way to fight back against the government on their own. Great film, did grow on me over the months.
