This ranks amongst the very best in "war films" that I've ever seen. Of particular curiosity to the reader is to understand the backstory of the Finns in how they were left virtually alone to contend with first the Germans in that era and then the Russians.
For sheer entertainment this is an undeniable ten, but as a historical piece it could do better within that context detailing the difficult circumstances the Finnish people and government had to contend with then and yet still persevere unto this day.
