The biggest joke Mrs Browns boy has in its repertoire, is how such a hair brained show could ever be as popular as it is. It's just a barrage of poorly done slapstick and psuedo fourth wall breaks. The show is reminiscent of 'Classics' such as Father Ted, outdated and for people begging that the world to go back to simpler times, the fake fourth wall breaks masquerading as something clever and witty, just further indication the writers are aware how dumb the audience is. If you want a modern comedy that doesn't treat you like a cave man, I'd recommend much better shows such as, The Inbetweeners or Its always sunny in Philadelphia. Both may not be for everyone, but it's better than viewing this garbage TV
