What a great book it is ! Rich, humorous and lucid writing...a matchless style that is not writing but wonderful story telling, where the author is the story teller and you become the absorbed listener. Please do not miss, it is a must-read book. The author, Shri Subir Adhicary, was my batchmate in REC, Durgapur (Now an NIT). He used to look simple and unassuming but his eyes always kept me wondering about him. His eyes always told me that he was different from others and now, after so many years, I know that I was not wrong. 'The Forest Fire And Other Stories' and his very first book 'Beyond My Blinkers' are both works of a master story teller. We are all very proud of him. I wish him due accolades and all success in his journey as a writer.
