If you want a primer on the history of imperialism, colonialism, and fascism this is highly recommended. It is often difficult to watch and the facts are heartbreaking to comprehend.

One of my all time favorite reads. I first read it in 1977, while a sophomore at West Chester State College. My psychology professor recommended it. I was totally mesmerized. I missed days and days of classes. I left my dorm room only for food at the cafeteria. Certainly in the top 10 best books I've ever read.

This show ended in 2013. I am just beginning in October 2019. I see what all the fuss was about. On the surface it's about a mild mannered chemistry teacher turning to a criminal activity in order to leave his family a large nest egg, before he dies if inoperable cancer. But the underlying story is about a budding super hero ( or arch villain, depending on your perspective) discovering their powers.

In spite of my analytical sensibilities about movies, I really enjoyed this film. No, it didn't make much sense. Yes, there were some significant plot holes, like how everyone knew where the target was. But what a murderous fun ride! 3/5.
