Superb writing, excellent acting, and a show so filled with content don't you dare pick up your cellphone during an episode or you'll miss something, maximum band for buck. The science is logical conclusions of current technology given 250 years of advances (well over half the things portrayed in the books and show exist but are very inefficient currently). The action and pacing are out of the park, there's really no "filler" content, it's all good. The "alien" aspect isn't monster movie stuff, this isn't that kind of series, but the suspense is great. The socioeconomic issues are intelligently written instead of utopian fluff so overdone by Hollywood
