After finally binging both games within a few days, I'd say that this is the most emotionally immursed I've ever felt within an apocalyptic simulation. The mourning you endure with these characters... Ellie in specific of course. Joel. He gave up the world for his adoptive daughter after losing his own. Everyone in this game has lost someone but the father figure will always hit close to home for me. Ellie's sexuality didn't bother me as much as her choice in a partner. Why Dina? She just seemed quite boring and had no character development. Jesse also felt like a life lost before he could leave a mark. Tommy could've seen more screentime but was mostly pinned on the ground and harsh to Ellie in this one. I wish we could have seen the two bond. Abby of course we played as more than Ellie in part 2 which I'm sure is where most of the disapproving comments stem from. Abby's story was decent but the creators could never make me like her as a person. There were so many better weapons and experiences in her part which I did appreciate but I kept aching for more Joel and Ellie. The graphics are spectacular and the game play was brutal and vivid. The looting, crafting, scenery and overall game play was thoroughly exciting. I will say I did not love how many dogs I had to kill as Ellie including the one I played with as Abby. So much loss yet not much joy. Very realistic, chaotic and emotionally draining... but a genuinely good game.

This movie was honestly pretty disappointing... the only character they gave a slightly decent story line is Harley of course because she's the most marketable character in this saga for little girls who crave being edgy and memorable. Furthermore, so many of the characters were given little screentime and essentially no character development. The prioritization of Harley was unnecessary and it honestly kinda pissed me off. Did the other characters not deserve more epic fight scenes? Don't get me wrong, Margot Robbie did a fabulous job as usual, but everyone else seemed to be sort of like her back up dancers... Also some characters such as John Cena, Sylvester Stallone, and Pete Davidson were poorly casted. DC could have tried a little harder to redeem themselves because the rats carried the entire movie.... legitimately.
