I enjoyed it, only looked at my watch once, but really couldn't think of anything that could have been cut, after all 2 1/2 hours isn't enough to cover the Napoleonic Empire. It was very theatrical, colorful and Joaquin's portrayal of his quirky personality was perfect.

It was ok, light hearted, colorful prose kept it interesting, but too juvenile for me. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it much more at 14.

I was hoping for a Dirty Rotten Scoundrel vibe but felt I was watching a make it up as you go along far fetched mystery that had to be explained by the leading character in an anticlimactic ending. Surprised that these world class actors took on this sloppy script.
