Emma Corrin and Naomi Watts have portrayed Lady Di so beautifully that Stewart really tried, and nailed it intermittently while also remaining Stewart herself; which didn’t work for me.
Although very slow, I appreciated the real time aspect of the movie. Warning: If you’d rather not eat when hearing/watching Stewart up-chuck quite a lot, you’ll probably appreciate knowing that the barfing (which was part of the disorder she tried to silently manage) dies down about a third of the way into the film.
The way the film wraps up is very endearing. I have no interest in seeing this film again, mostly because I find Stewart’s work to be ho-hum compared to Corrin and Watts works in the past.
Overall, this film required a ton of patience from me despite being a peek into the life of Lady Di, who I’ve always just loved, loved, LOVED.
