The way this book has moved and shaped me is so far beyond the way that so many forms of art have. I’ve reread this book twice and am on my third listening the audio version. From the first sentence, these characters are developed to an excruciatingly intimate level, yet the author still holds back and unravels their truest traits in the most human and surprising ways. This is the most organic and beautiful prose I have ever read.
