I hope Team Ninja sees this because I feel like most of what I don't like about this game is fixable for like a sequel. Overall, I enjoy the game but couple things keep it from being a great game. Fun comic, beat em up, explore a roster of your favorites game.
Pros - Lots of characters
Good music
Good voice casting acting
Good music
Good powers (felt like they were true to the characters, fun powerful) I like the ability to combine powers but the game seems like it relies too heavily on this.
Good graphics
Cons
Camera! Sometimes so bad it's unplayable. We were playing together with 4 people and all but one person died. The camera focused on the dead people so we couldn't see what was going on! And we would sometimes turn a corner and it wouldn't follow. So annoying.
The levels are pretty lack luster. I remember in the other 2 ultimate alliance games and X-Men legends, maps were expansive, you'd have to explore various areas and weren't sure where to go next. These levels are way too simple and straightforward. Make it a hunt, an adventure.
The stagger meter (or purple meter) is meh... It was much better in the old games how certain characters were resistant or immune to certain types of attacks (meelee, elemental, energy, psychic, etc).
The items in this are super lame. The old games made it feel like you could trash everything. The items you can interact with in this game are very limited.
Meelee system is ok, but it was fun using combos to trip, stun, or hit your enemies skyward. Make it a little more complex for different outcomes.
Powers/customization is limited. Need more passive abilities to level up and I feel each character should have at least 6 active/attack powers (outside of the special).
Not bad, but following the old games would have made a great game.
