The 1901 ASV is an almost carbon copy of the 1881 English Revised Version which was very poorly received in England mainly because of the changed words, corrupted doctrines, and totally corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts on which the revisers (Westcott and Hort) completely rewrote the Greek in favor of their own agenda. The ASV is unreliable, inaccurate to the original Greek, and part of the modern version movement whose entire purpose is to disparage the reliable King James Version of the Bible.
