When anyone is caught up with their own emotions as Gayle King was to utter the words to the NATION (couching her response as logical) "that it looks like it is open season on Blacks" needs to get a grip on reality. Not only to look at the sequential choices of videos to show from the internet, which could all be staged... but it seems you have a theme today. Remember few people take pics of their Black friends, acquaintances and brief enjoyable chance interactions of any given day. Not so very long ago, Black Lives Matter put the fear that is now directed at Corona Virus into men of color. At that time, any time I saw a Black dude stopped by a policeman ... was of a panicking dude and a cop who was relaxed and nearly apologetic that such a small traffic stop (ie going through a stop sign) would create such a tense response. To see that in my community got me to soap box when given the chance to dull the high octane of BLM message of fear. Since you are a sensitive reporter who is reporting to a sensitive audience it is time to #1 stop with the shock jock video themes, #2 If you must report on the topic then immediately report again with the actual percentages and normalized relations... not a gut feeling of fear that works to promote one message of fear or disapproval. #3 remember all some people need is some form of permission to act poorly. Not everyone is exposed to, nor part of your negativism. #4 Behaving irresponsibly is my tipping point which is color- economics- age-sex-time-of-day blind until there is a pattern. Balanced reporting was the norm for a while. I only had to come back for a look see today to know that I do not have to watch CBS This Morning unless I feel the need to crusade. I no longer tolerate such anger with FB friends. Your response today will cause tomorrows news. You are using the power of the news sloppily. That is supposed to be a characteristic of particular politicians. You are steering the masses. Next time call for a station break and consider your words. The audience often waits for news with teasers but emotions are served up instantly. So many in that instant chose a side. Color me livid. Time for my coffee break and to shut-up.... until someone at the gas station uses what you showed / said as a reference, a reason for the angst in their attitude.
