While I empathize with the lower star comments that this is a sugar-coated version of the reality, I am reminded that it is based on a true story. I have ordered the book, but the review suggests that it is pretty close to the Movie. We'll see. Meanwhile, I found the movie to be riveting, watching the mistakes and knowing that some were so obvious in advance. For me, this at least exposes a reality that many try to avoid or ignore, and it is important for us all to realize that is a reality for many women and we need to find ways to help them. For me, this also suggests that there is hope for some that the future can be better if you act. In this case, the author of the book and the actress in the movie followed their dream.
