This TV series bears no resemblance to Isaac Azimov's hard sci-fi classic. The story line is unrecognizable. It introduces themes of fantasy, religion, and sex that were totally absent from the books, and even the purpose of the foundation has been changed.
It's somewhat interesting as a stand-alone series, but it should not carry the name of Azimov's epic.
