KGF Chapter 1 ( Kannada) Review : Arguably one of the best in class Kannada movies released in recent times . This movie is no less than epic . It is high octane action saga movie . The genre of the movie is low level fantasy . Positives : 1. Yash's brilliant acting and screen presence . He holds the aperture of the entire film with his massy and classy acting as Rocky Bhai . The film has many heroes . Each one of them adds their own dimension to the movie. Anant Nag's powerful narrative was integral in taking the story forward and setting the stage for KGF Chapter 2. 2. Every Antagonist in the film has created their own powerful aura of fear in the hearts of the audience and the Hero. 3. Prashant Neel has worked a lot on the script of the movie . The screenplay is so good that you can't take your attention away from the screen. I really like the the motherly emotions in the movie. The dialogues in the movie resonate in your mind even after you leave the theater. 4. Ravi Basrur's music and background score takes the movie whole new level . The film has only two songs . It's very much beneficial in the case of the movie like KGF . The french orchestra in the song " Garbadhi " is a magical wonder . 5. Bhuvan Gowda's cinematography has literally made every frame of the movie look like a Hollywood movie . He is no less than a magical behind the lens . 6 . Art Director Shivakumar left no stone unturned in the detailing of the movie . The movie takes us back in time to late 70s . The set work especially in the mines is of a whole new level . I really like the Kaali Jaatre Set . 7. The Editor's crisp edits and the fast moving transition always managed to keep my attention on screen. 8. The top notch production value of the movie . Negatives: 1. The lag in the first half. 2. Very less screen presence for the heroine Srinidhi Shetty. 3. This film was more suited for the youth , action film lovers and not for the family audience. 4. I personally feel that the item song could have been avoided . Final verdict : This film is the pride of KFI. KGF has set the benchmark for the the Kannada film industry . My rating for the movie : 4/5.
