I didn't know anything about Lil Peep going into the doc. I had an open mind and wanted to see what his life was about. While they captured an emotional narrative, I was left with more questions and truly disturbed by the lack of concern for his well being. Was this left out? Did anyone ask him if he was OK? Did any of his friends try to reach out while he was on tour to check on him? Did they ever tell him to watch his drug use? It's unfathomable to me that with everyone surrounding him, there wasn't a handful of people that could have truly connected, cared, and helped him? The filmmakers interviewed his friends and collaborators about stories, experiences, etc. and yet, aren't they part of the problem? I don't cast judgement or hate on any of them but most friend portrayals were focused on how much talent Peep had...not how talented, caring, and giving he was. I honestly had anxiety and couldn't sleep because of how terrible I felt for this struggling kid and his unfortunate ending. I'm not blaming anyone and I'm sure those close to him have to carry this hurt forever. However, I do feel there were warning signs and lack of taking action to prevent his death. I think the movie was fine and worth a watch, but comprehensively left out a lot of details and portrays those arround him as people who shell out accolades, but turn a blind eye to someone needing help. RIP Lil Peep
