A chain of murderous events, a house full of suspects, Radhika Apte's bemusing bride, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's lifelike and self-conscious sleuth - the plot resembled one of Agatha Christie's 'whodunnit' classics set in a dark, semi-urban atmosphere. An opening intriguing enough, a conclusion beyond predictions. What went wrong is the ponderous part in between. Adding up, undone characterizations don't let you relate either to the murderer or to the conviction, which, as a matter of fact, is the most important element in a perfect tale of crime. Ila Arun's portrayal of Nawaz's bride seeking mom was terrific. Big fan!
