While some viewers may have grown tired of Joe's nearly daily reiteration of President Trump's mishandling and lies surrounding the pandemic, I am reminded of George Orwell's observation that "we have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent people" As I watch the coverage of the Republican National Capitulation, I would add that it is the first duty of all honest people as well. The Nazi propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, believed that, if you tell lies often enough, even the most outrageous, some people will begin to believe you. Perhaps the same applies to the truth. Keep stating the obvious, Joe!
