Die hard Metallica fan that thought this album was going to suck based on early music videos (had essentially convinced myself) but my opinion did a 180 after listening to album. They exceeded Hardwired here, and have maintained that vibe while tapping into their 96/97 sound. Just a nasty, groovy doom metal esque album and Hetfield gives his best vocal performance in years. Love Megadeth and Exodus, but they aren’t touching Metallica here….
