This textbook is hilariously bad. Like, you would have to purposely try to write a textbook this bad. Dowek does not explain concepts thoroughly, constantly introduces notation and concepts out of nowhere that are never explained, and is overall the most confusing thing I've had the displeasure of reading. It's written very lazily and to be honest it baffles me that it's used in many courses on logic and computation. There are many, much better resources out there. Please look into them before considering using this text for any reason whatsoever.
