Music selections disappoint; intro is painful. Acting and story are lame. More plot holes than Swiss cheese. Ok a few spoilers: - there’s no way a kidnapper could predict Denzel would drop the bag, let alone in an exact spot - it seemed about 10-12 people were involved in the money pickup and motorcycle antics. With that much money in play, the accomplices would have taken a big cut or probably the whole thing. - it was so stupid that the cops ignored Denzel when he said he’d identified the kidnapper. Beyond absurd. - the kidnapper was African American and wouldn’t confuse Denzel’s son with a friend, just because of a headband. He had stalked the family for months and knew what they looked like, regardless of headband. Blacks don’t all look alike to other Blacks. Ridiculous. - there was no mention of using counterfeit money for payoff. Why? And so much more…🤯

So stupid. Gerald Butler plays the stupidest, most manipulated sap I’ve ever seen. Hard to relate to the stupid loser he plays. So many opportunities to get the upper hand and seriously damage Pierce Brosnan. An insane wimp. There’s no way he’d have pulled the trigger to possibly shoot his colleague.

Usually foreign films are more sophisticated with better plots. This film disappoints in all areas. The story line, the acting, the action scenes, the ending - are all campy, amateur hour, a waste. A pathetic outing for all involved.

I’d give it 3.5 stars. Good action movie but lots of logic holes. - wildly unsafe to shoot a gun on a plane - can’t enter a plane’s cargo area from outside while it’s taking off - can’t enter a plane’s cargo area from inside the rear passenger area either (and no flight attendants to say anything?) - can’t safely parachute from 30,000’ or higher. Too cold and no oxygen. Need special suit, oxygen, etc. Special training - why would terrorist trust TSA agent to go find the bomb in the airport terminal to defuse it? High risk to himself of dying. - so Hollywood silly that the trapped boyfriend in the truck escapes to shoot his kidnapper just in the nick of time. Who knew the traumatized gay captive was a marksman with someone else’s firearm? The list is endless. Popcorn Hollywood entertainment

As many reviewers have shared, this movie is intriguing, colorful, engaging, and well paced - with vivid characters and interesting plot turns. Still, I felt the level of violence was a bit over the top as things evolved and started feeling like a Sam Peckinpah or Quentin Tarantino style ending.
