Alright. So this is NOT the Cowboy Bebop anime. If you approach this show expecting the anime (which I'm sure a lot of angry reviewers have), then of course you're going to be disappointed. 2021 Bebop takes the same concept and similar plot points, and makes it flow as a live action series. The casting and setting were just fine. Why am I ok with the script being changed up? Simple: there really are some things in an anime that would not feel natural in a live-action show, and would become cringe instead. They made most of 2021 Bebop 1.flow in a way that you could watch it standalone and 2.feel natural in terms of live-action portrayal. Ed's the only character I had gripes on, mainly because they made their hairstyle look LIKE the anime, which can end up looking cheesy in many cases. One Piece on the other hand? Urgh. I don't know how they're going to make a character with /stretchy limbs/ look realistic, but we'll wait and see.
