I could not wait to see the movie and seen it last night Thursday prior to opening day with my wife. Prior to the movie start was exactly 20 minutes of movie previews. This is totally uncalled for especially if you are watching a long movie. Any how the movie finally started. It was electric! I actually had happy tears in my eyes with 2 songs. The first half moved so fast and was just as good or better than the original. Then the movie did slow down a bit, however was still good. Maybe because this movie was longer than the original.The Officer Krupty song should have been in the beginning of the film. It would have made the movie a little shorter. Maybe I feel like it was a little long because of the 20 minutes of previews. Anyway Anita is Great she will get an academy award for this movie. I do recommend to see this movie. I do not know if the movie will be a blockbuster because young persons never seen the original. I believe they may not be into musical's however I hope they go to see this film which is a masterpiece. By the way Maria is fantastic and with all the gossip of Tony, he is good. So to everyone go see this movie. One last comment when they were speaking in Spanish in the movie they should have had subtitles for the brief moments. Once again go see this movie it is beautiful.
