I have realized that my concept of many Biblical characters, especially the disciples, were formed on a flannel board. Remember those Sunday School visual aids with the felt cut out trees, boats and sheep. All people were exactly the same, though the girls had lil skirts. Jesus said to get out of the boat and follow him, and they did, in a row. This series gives life to those cut outs. They have families, jobs, troubles and quirks. And they laugh!
