I enjoyed this series. Well acted and good story. What I didn’t like about it was all the gratuitous nudity. How many times did the director think the Spanish princess needs to disrobe before the film crew. The story stands on its own and doesn’t need nudity. There also was the religious political correctness. The daughter of Queen Isabella would never say, “I have a lot of respect for Islam” At that point in world History, Christianity saw its very existence threatened by the Islamic invasion of Europe. Furthermore, no Catholic priest would marry a Catholic woman to an Islamic man. The Catholic Church at the time, only married a Catholic to a none Catholic if they converted to Catholic. The ecumenical wedding service scene was so contrived and out of historical context of the period. Why not just depict history the way it really was.
