It's one of the first books my dad gifted me when I was just a little kid. Spent initial 3 years looking at the pictures, then when I slowly started to understand the contents,I was hooked! It'd so much information about so many different metals. Not just the dry technical part, but the fun stories behind it. It's my first introduction to a real science book and I loved it. 20 years, later this book has served as a symbol of my relationship with my Dad and a testament to how endeavors to push me towards science in the most subtle yet amazing way possible.
Sometimes books are not just books, they are memories of a sweet forgotten time of your life that's worth remembering for a lifetime. That said, it's a real good book, gift it to a child and who knows you can push another child towards STEM and make some memories worth remembering for the rest of your life. I'm gifting my kids this book, that's for sure!
