It’s a good show on its own, but I personally didn’t appreciate how its story intertwined with other shows (Supergirl, Arrow, etc.). It made the show unnecessarily complicated, especially if you don’t have access to (or otherwise had no time to watch) these other shows. If you don’t watch the other shows in parallel, you always feel like you’re missing something. I guess they were trying a new idea with this setup, but I personally prefer the traditional stand-alone shows. All that said, I did enjoy watching the Flash for its own story and acting.
