Legend of Zelda BOTW (Breath of the Wild for short) is an open world game. This game has a very simple base structure and not a very complex one though the character arcs are looked into deeply in the DLC packs. This game is about a young boy (or adult) that wakes up after 100 years of sleeping. He then travels around the land of Hyrule to gather up allies and resources to defeat Ganon.
While the storyline is very simple, the gameplay has been shown at a good performance. The graphics are smooth and while people say it's a letdown of cell shading, that's their style of making graphics so get a grip. The gameplay is very smooth and it is an offline single player game.
While I enjoy this game a lot, there are a bit of flaws in the game like the shrines. The shrines are basically a hand down of the dungeons in old Zelda games. The mobility is convenient though.
After all, this game is worth playing.
