One of the best films I have ever seen.

A perfect film, and amazing performance from Fiennes. To say that this is boring - well, little minds may so, as there are no murders, aliens from outer space, and no rude words. This is a gentle, intelligent, moving film.

Just about perfect. Exciting, happy, a bit scary for very young children, excellent colour, sparkling acting and dialogue. I have read one review which says the film is awful on every count. Don’t pay any attention to such a stupid critic determined to be controversial and contrary. This is a brilliant film. 10 out of 10.

Just on the verge of nightmare, but not quite - which is what a good fairytale should be. Visually stunning, often unnerving, often confusing in the way that a dream is. Overall, fascinating, and certainly not the kind of film that could ever come out of Hollywood.
