It's not bad but it's not that interesting either. The representation is definitely nice but the rest is just kind of meh.

I gave it a try and it just feels like a worse version of other shows, loosely skinned with thundercats. I could understand it more if it wasn't Thundercats skinned, but as it stands it feels like it's going to go against anyone who cares about the Thundercats rather than draw back people while appealing to the new wave of kids. At the very least it's well made, but I can't say I hope it sticks around.

I can't say it's my favorite incarnation of the turtles but it does what it does well. I don't like the characterization of Splinter but I think the rest of the turtles are fair changes, and they handle the individualization of them very well. I'm hoping we see them grow and change, but I won't hold my breath. I think the people who are complaining about the weapons and what not are just looking for something to hate, but It is extremely weird that Raph is considered the leader, even if he's basically never a leader in the show.

It's okay enough, but if the first episodes aren't for you it really doesn't get better.

Open world is empty, DLC costs too much for too little, new combat system is rather dull. There's plenty of content that's almost good, but nothing lives up to its potential. Some of the characters especially don't feel great with the new combat system. Every fight is almost literally the same, especially with the grappling hook as you can scale fort walls and kill the boss immediately. There's just too many things that feel too bad to warrant buying, but if they try again they might get it right.
