I liked Photograph a lot. Cinematography is classy, visually very impressive with some great lighting effects, especially the interiors of the drinks warehouse and Mr Sodabottlewallah's flat. The minor characters were terrific: the shopkeeper uncle, the garrulous taxidriver, the vile college teacher, the ghost Tawari, the old family doctor, the house servant woman, and of course, Dadi the grandmother who stole every scene she was in. The two leads were very attractive, he had more more depth than she, but Sanya Malhotra looked wonderful in closeup although her character seemed far too passive given the circumstances of the story. I felt that with a stronger more believable love story the two leads would have had real chemistry. The score too is well-judged, very adaptable and quite wistful. I felt part of a real Indian world throughout and thoroughly enjoyed the film, for its great good humour and luminous leading actirs.
