This books is full of detailed information about the Norman people. I have yet to find a better compendium of knowledge on the Normans, that can out do what is written in this book. My last name came from the Norman invasion. The only draw back that i found, (but this is only concerning me) is that there was not any mention of my ancestor in the section that talks about the invasion of Ireland through Waterford. My ancestor was the Lord of Waterford after the Normans setup shop in that area along with his friend Hugh De'Lacy.
