Sunrise

As a fan of this timeless classic that made me cry as a young teenager, I was excited about this remake, but greatly disappointed. The realism of the African plains and animals were amazing! But the overall heartfelt feeling was lost. Many of the originals scenes were deleted or changed and it affected the movie. A lot of attempted funny punch lines, but just not funny or missed due to the straight faced characters and dull voice overs such as timon and zazu. The new cast voices just did not make up for the original. And let's talk about the musical scenes an ill attempt due to the fact that you can hear the non singing voices. From the voice of zazu to the young nala and simba, I just could not get past the original Broadway voices that did a supreme job with the singing and overall voice overs of the original cast. You really felt the original cast put their heartfelt feeling and emotion into their character that the remake lacked. Mind you we watched it on real 3D. I'd give it a 4 on CGI and a 2/3 star overall.
